Idea

It made perfect sense for two brands, all about bringing more happiness to people, to introduce “Coke Happy Hour.” But, millennials are tough to nail down. They shop on their terms, when they want and where they want. So, how did we get this group to consider Walgreens for more of their grab & go trips? By tapping into a cultural insight from the Millennial shopper, we brought brought Happy Hours to Walgreens all summer long. 

Impact

  • Lands a Silver Reggie in the Retail category
  • Total Summer Program drove category and brand sales up by 12.1% in program revenue
  • Coca-Cola key influencer and USA World Cup Soccer Champ, Alex Morgan, promoted Coke Happy Hour  to her social network (via Facebook and Twitter).
